CEPEP Warriors
Portraits of CEPEP Workers shot on location in the Caribbean on a Canon 5Ds with a 24-70f2.8L Lens. Lit with a single strobe fired TTL by an Elinchrom ELB500TTL unit modified by a square Portalite against a simple black background stuck to a wall with gaffer tape.
CEPEP is a scheme in Trinidad that develops and implements programs that enhance and beautifies the environment. The main goal of CEPEP is to educate communities about the need to improve and preserve the natural environment of the country.
These workers were working outside the premises we were using as a base.
All the workers pictured up agreed to pose for me while they were on a break. Each sitting took about three minutes with just a handful of shots being taken for each of the CEPEP workers. Most of the workers took the opportunity to refill their water bottles with cold water from the fridge.
The sweat on the shirts of many of the workers is testimony to how hard they work in the hot Caribbean sun.
